Jesus: The Way, the Truth, the Life

Jesus: The Way, The Truth, and The Life
Scripture: John 14:1-14
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" — John 14:6
Life is full of uncertainties. Most people find themselves searching for direction, seeking truth, and longing for a deeper, more fulfilling life. In John 14, Jesus speaks words of comfort to His disciples, reassuring them that though He is leaving, He is preparing a place for them in His Father's house. Thomas, filled with uncertainty, asks, “Lord, we do not know where You are going. How can we know the way?” (John 14:5).
This question is one of the most important questions we can ask. How can we know the way? Jesus responds with one of the most powerful declarations in Scripture: “I am the way, and the truth, and the life.” These words remind us that our deepest needs are met in Christ alone. I believe we see a progression in Jesus’ response. Jesus explicitly states, leaving no doubt, “I am the way…” He is the way to the Father and to eternal life. He is the truth, and His truth leads us to His way. He is the life, and His life leads us to truth which leads to the way.
Jesus is the Way – If you feel lost or uncertain about your future, know that Jesus is your path. He leads us to the Father, and through Him, we find our purpose and eternal home.
Jesus is the Truth – In a world filled with conflicting messages, Jesus is the ultimate truth. His words are trustworthy, and His promises are secure.
Jesus is the Life – True, abundant life is found in Him. Through His sacrifice and resurrection, He gives us spiritual life that lasts both here and now and for eternity.
Jesus invites you to trust in Him. He is the way, the truth, and the life. We can stop searching, stop striving, stop wrestling and we can rest in this. Rest in the truth that He has already made the way for you. Now, we must follow this way. Spend time in His Word, seek Him in prayer, and follow where He leads. Train yourself in godliness. Bear the fruit. Armor yourself. Fight sin. Choose holiness.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for being the way, the truth, and the life. Help me to trust in You fully, even when I do not understand the road ahead. To live with purpose that follows Your way. Guide me in Your truth and fill my heart with Your peace. Help me place my hope in You today and find abundant life in you alone. Amen.
Love you all! Praying for you this week. Let's follow the way, the truth, and the life of Jesus!
