The early church, despite having no political power or resources, became the most influential spiritual force in history through the Holy Spirit's equipping. When Peter and John healed a lame man at the temple, they faced persecution but responded with boldness rather than fear. The early Christians didn't pray for safety but for courage to continue their mission. Today, the Holy Spirit still equips believers by speaking through us when afraid, using ordinary people, and gradually transforming us. As modern Christians, we're called to be students of the Word, pray for boldness, pursue holiness, and stay connected to the church community.
