Friday: Progress and Joy

PRAY: Ask God to speak to you from His Word.

READ: Philippians 1:25-26

25 Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith, 26 so that through my being with you again your boasting in Christ Jesus will abound on account of me.

UNDERSTAND: get a deeper understanding of the key words

1. Begin by underlining nouns with a single line, double underline verbs, and circle descriptive words.

2. Make a list of the key words/phrases and think about what they mean.

Snapshot: In this passage Paul tells us that he is convinced that God was using him to help other believers progress and find joy in their faith. Apparently God had also revealed to Paul that he would get to be with the Philippians again. This would also be a benefit to his readers as they would see God answering their prayers for Paul. The focus is on progress and joy in the faith.

Takeaway: Those who grow in their faith find joy in their life.
