#getoveryourselfie (W5D1) Those Who Are Mature
Week 5. Monday: Those Who Are Mature
PRAY: Ask God to speak to you from His Word.
READ: Philippians 3:15
15 All of us, then, who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you.
UNDERSTAND: get a deeper understanding of the key words
Begin by underlining nouns with a single line, double underline verbs, and circle descriptive words.
Make a list of the key words/phrases and think about what they mean.
Snapshot: This passage refers back to vv. 1-14 where Paul tells us not to trust in religion but strive to know Christ personally. Those who are mature in their faith will have the same attitude or “view” as Paul. And if we take some other view of how to know Christ, Paul says God will make that clear to us. How does God do that? God speaks and leads us through His word. Genuine and consistent study of God’s word will grow us to maturity and change our attitude.
APPLY: What is this passage calling me to do?
How much time do you spend reading and studying God’s word?
How has studying God’s word helped you to become more mature?
Do you feel like you are growing in your walk with Christ? What could be better?
PRAY: Ask God to help you know Christ more.
