#getoveryourselfie (W3D3) Shine Like Stars
Week 3. Wednesday: Shine Like Stars
PRAY: Ask God to speak to you from His Word.
READ: Philippians 2:14-15
14 Do everything without grumbling or arguing, 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky
UNDERSTAND: get a deeper understanding of the key words
Begin by underlining nouns with a single line, double underline verbs, and circle descriptive words.
Make a list of the key words/phrases and think about what they mean.
Snapshot: In this passage Paul tells us that when we stop grumbling and arguing we will shine like stars in a dark world. This makes perfect sense when you think about all the grumbling and arguing that goes on around us every day. Light always stands out in the darkness. How much would we stand out in this world if we chose not to grumble and argue?
Takeaway: Christians are called to stand out, not to blend in.
APPLY: What is this passage calling me to do?
What do you think it looks like to shine like stars to those around us?
Do you think that you shine to those around you? Why or why not?
PRAY: Ask God to help you find ways to shine His light to those around you.
