Hurricane Relief. How Can I Help?


So many of you have been asking how to help in the hurricane relief efforts in west Florida. We have compiled a list of ways to help. We are also working to partner with a church in the effected area for on-going support. We will keep you posted. We will update this page with more info as we receive it...

WANT TO HELP FROM HOME?

Not everyone can travel to West Florida but there are plenty of ways to help.

Pray. Pray consistently for the impacted areas and people. Join the Taylor County Prayer Group on Facebook for more ways to play. CLICK HERE

Give.

Gift Cards. We have partnered with RIvertown Community Church. They have campuses in Blountstown, Marianna, Chipley and Wakulla. They are actively serving their community. One key opportunity to serve is by giving gift cards. If you're interested in donating money toward gift cards contact us HERE

Supplies are needed. We are being told that tarps, gas can, gloves and personal hygeine/cleaning product (baby wipes to bathe with, etc.) are top of the list. Here are other items to consider...

  • Non-Perishable Food Items & Individually wrapped snacks

  • Protein Bars

  • Feminie Producs

  • Men & women undergarments and socks (packaged only)

  • Paper goods – wet wipes, plates, napkins, paper towels, cups, (plastic forks/spoons) etc.

  • Toiletries – toilet paper, wipes, feminine products, soap, hygiene items, etc.Water/Gatorade

  • Garbage Bags

  • Clorox Wipes

  • The Taylor County Chamber of Commerce

  • Big Bend Technical College

  • Little Pine Pediatric

  • Walmart Parking Lot (Taylor County Sheriff's Department)

  • Taylor County Elementary School and Perry Primary School

  • Calvary Baptist Church (Delivery Planned Oct 28. Specific needs: Diapers (mostly size 5 & 6), Baby Wipes, Formula (Enafamil ARHygiene), DeodorantTampons/Pads, Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Personal Cleansing Wipes, Bar and Chain oil, Pre-Mixed gas for chainsaws

  • Taylor Baptist Association. Our local Taylor Baptist Association has partnered with FBC Sneads in their hurricane relief efforts. Please consider donating the following items: contractor grade trash bags, storage bins with lids, backpacks, school supplies, dust masks, tarps of all sizes, work gloves, cleaning supplies.

WILLING TO TRAVEL?

Based on our understanding of areas in the most need of additional help we have decided to focus our efforts on Jackson County.

Planned Trips

  • Day trips: planned through the Taylor Baptist Association (Nov. 10 & 17). More info HERE.

  • Cook and Serve Volunteers Needed. 11,000 meals being served daily. Contact Jeff Stading, FBC Perry HERE

  • NEEDED: People to build shelves for a need in Panama City. Contact Valena Driggers HERE

  • No Other Trips Planned at this time. Please email us at info@cornerstonecc.church if you have details on a planned trip.

Want to go but not sure where to start?

We are being told that the best place to serve is at a shelter. We have contacts below with county organizations, churches and pastors who can help you find a shelter.

  1. Jackson County EOC. 850-482-2593. The way to find a shelter. There are so many needs. You can deliver supplies, take a grill and cook, help people with emotional trauma, serve food, clean-up ... the opportunities are endless

  2. Rivertown Community Church. (850) 674-5747. We have a long history with Rivertown. They have campuses in Blountstown, Marianna and Chipley.

  3. Florida Baptist Convention. Thomasville Rd. Baptist Church in Tallahassee. J.D. James 850-251-4740. Significant cleanup and debris-removal work to be done in the Tallahassee, Havana, Quincy, and Chattahoochee areas.
